Sometimes I feel I have the greatest job in the world. Photography allows me to travel and do what I like most: capturing love. In September I had the opportunity to visit Toronto and photograph Jocelyn & Billy Joe’s wedding. Jocelyn welcomed me at our first meeting with a big smile and I was really excited to photograph a wedding in a big city like Toronto.
The day before the wedding we did a short city shoot in Toronto. After the shoot, Jocelyn changed into a lovely dress for a casual family dinner. I love the shot we made in the hotel elevator!
On Saturday Jocelyn and Billy Joe had a ceremony and party in a coffee bar in the distillery district of Toronto. The ceremony was short and sweet and the dance party started early. The highlight was the group shot with all the guests in one frame. This party was everything a wedding should be about, Jocelyn and Billy Joe enjoying the company of their friends and family.
During the shoot I asked Jocelyn how she and Billy Joe got together. Over lunch one day Jocelyn noticed Billy Joe in a work cafeteria. He caught her eye as he stood out as the only in casual clothing among the group in sharp suits. You don’t need to be fancy to impress, you just have to be different.
If you’re getting married in the Toronto area next Fall, get in touch and I’m sure we can work something out!
